We will start meeting in the Temple of Trees on the Polestar Land for kirtan on Wed\, May 22nd\, 2024! \n6-7PM: Chanting & brief meditation \nAll are welcome- Come for chanting\, stay for potluck dinner!  \n7-8PM: Community Meal- Vegetarian potluck \nEach Wednesday evening\, we’ll gather for a heart opening kirtan\, a connecting meditation and a soul-nourishing vegetarian potluck. Come for kirtan or potluck or both! \nPolestar Wednesdays are sweet for the whole family. Childcare available from 6-7PM if desired. See you soon. \nWHAT IS KIRTAN? Derived from a Sanskrit root meaning to call\, recite\, praise\, or glorify\, put simply\, kirtan is the act of praising and glorifying some form of divinity including the Divine found in yourself. Because music is particularly potent as a vehicle of conveying one’s emotions\, music is especially effective at evoking feelings of Love and Higher Consciousness. Kirtan is therefore viewed as exceptionally powerful when practiced through singing together\, as one voice. \n*Just a friendly reminder as we’re moving into winter months and chanting indoors in small spaces- to please stay home if you aren’t feeling well\, have any symptoms of illness or if you’ve been recently exposed to covid or other illnesses. DESCRIPTION:Warm weather is officially here! We will start meeting in the Temple of Trees on the Polestar Land for kirtan on Wed\, May 22nd\, 2024! \n6-7PM: Chanting & brief meditation \nAll are welcome- Come for chanting\, stay for potluck dinner!  \n7-8PM: Community Meal- Vegetarian potluck \nEach Wednesday evening\, we’ll gather for a heart opening kirtan\, a connecting meditation and a soul-nourishing vegetarian potluck. Come for kirtan or potluck or both! \nPolestar Wednesdays are sweet for the whole family. Childcare available from 6-7PM if desired. See you soon. \nWHAT IS KIRTAN? Derived from a Sanskrit root meaning to call\, recite\, praise\, or glorify\, put simply\, kirtan is the act of praising and glorifying some form of divinity including the Divine found in yourself. Because music is particularly potent as a vehicle of conveying one’s emotions\, music is especially effective at evoking feelings of Love and Higher Consciousness. Kirtan is therefore viewed as exceptionally powerful when practiced through singing together\, as one voice. \n*Just a friendly reminder as we’re moving into winter months and chanting indoors in small spaces- to please stay home if you aren’t feeling well\, have any symptoms of illness or if you’ve been recently exposed to covid or other illnesses.
